File security and deletion

FormatPeek is designed for temporary viewing, not permanent file storage.

MSG and EML email files

MSG and EML viewers run locally in the browser. Email content and attachments do not leave your device. Scripts inside an email cannot run, and remote images are blocked to reduce tracking. Closing the page clears the opened message.

What happens when you upload an MPP file?

  1. Your MPP file is sent over HTTPS to the parser.
  2. The parser reads the project and returns structured scheduling data.
  3. The temporary uploaded file is deleted immediately after parsing.
  4. The returned project is displayed in your browser.

What happens when you close the page?

The displayed file state lives in the current browser page. Closing the page clears that in-memory viewing session. FormatPeek does not provide accounts, file libraries or permanent cloud storage.

Operational data

Hosting and network providers may process ordinary request metadata, such as an IP address, timestamp and technical logs, to deliver and protect the service. Do not open a file unless you are authorized to view and process it.

Sensitive files

For files governed by strict organizational, contractual or regulatory rules, confirm that browser-based processing is permitted by your organization before using the service.
