This policy explains how FormatPeek handles files and technical information when you use the service.

Files processed locally

MSG and EML email files are read locally in your browser. Their contents and attachments are not uploaded to FormatPeek. Closing the page clears the opened message from browser memory.

Temporary MPP uploads

MPP files are transmitted to our parser for the sole purpose of producing the requested view. Temporary files are deleted immediately after parsing and are not added to a user library. Parsed project information is displayed in the current browser session.

Technical information

Our hosting, security and network providers may process standard request data such as IP addresses, timestamps, browser information and error logs to operate, secure and diagnose the service. Locally opened email content is not part of these requests.

Accounts, sales and advertising

FormatPeek currently does not require user accounts and does not sell file contents. If analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before they are used.

Your responsibilities

Only open files you are authorized to process. Do not use the service for information whose handling rules prohibit browser-based or temporary server processing.
