Example contact used to demonstrate the VCF viewer.

Open a VCF file online

  1. Drop the .vcf file into the viewer above.
  2. Select a contact to inspect all readable fields.
  3. Search the file or export the displayed contacts to CSV.

Open VCF on Windows or Mac

Windows and macOS can open vCards with their installed contact applications. Opening the file may begin an import flow, so use a viewer first when you only want to inspect its contents.

Open VCF on iPhone or Android

Save the attachment and open it with the device’s contacts app. Review the contact count and requested import action before confirming, especially when the file came from an unfamiliar sender.

Why will a VCF file not open?

The file may be empty, damaged, incorrectly named or encoded using an uncommon legacy character set. Confirm that it contains vCard data and ends in .vcf.
