Fastest method
Drag the MSG file into the free MSG viewer online. It displays common Outlook fields and attachments without sending the file to our server.
Can Apple Mail open MSG?
Apple Mail primarily supports EML rather than Outlook’s MSG format. Renaming the extension does not convert the file.
When should you use Outlook?
Use Outlook when you need Outlook-only metadata, encrypted content, an appointment response, or exact fidelity. For ordinary email text and attachments, the online MSG viewer is usually enough.
